Allotment Diary {August 2020}

We've been bust this month eeking out the last of the summer sun and have spent many a day on the allotment.

The shed is finally up and I have grand plans to get it painted so it stands out from the crowd.

The girls adore our outdoor classroom and used some pallets and old wood to make a wee desk - cuties.

I planted some late season potatoes so we can hopefully tuck into our own roasties on Christmas day. I have never grown potatoes before so this is all completely trial and error. I'm winging everything allotment related.

Our plot neighbour gave us lots of beans. They were delicious hot with butter (although the girls love munching them raw). I can't wait until we're harvesting our own next year.

So that's all the major stuff we've been doing this month - the rest was just weeding and clearing which is too boring to share pictures of. Feels like we're making slow progress though.
